Eye Health

Diabetes can affect the blood vessels of the eye, where high blood sugar levels can cause damage to retinal cells. An eye check can show up early signs of diabetes, sometimes before the presence of any other symptoms.  Whilst lifestyle changes and regular checks with your GP are extremely important in management of diabetes, regular eye checks are also required (at least once annually unless otherwise advised).
